Stop justice Njoki Ndung'u from pushing judges to legislate abortion in Kenya
Stop justice Njoki Ndung'u from pushing judges to legislate abortion in Kenya
Abortion is illegal in Kenya as it is in many African countries. This ban on abortion though doesn't make abortionists all over the world any happy and they won't rest until the law is altered to allow legal murder of unborn babies.
The Kenyan Constitution 2010 Article 26 reads as follows:_
(1) Every person has the right to life.
(2) The life of a person begins at conception.
(3) A person shall not be deprived of life intentionally, except to the extent authorised by this Constitution or other written law.
(4) Abortion is not permitted unless, in the opinion of a trained health professional, there is need for emergency treatment, or the life or health of the mother is in danger, or if permitted by any other written law.
In this article, it is clear that life begins at conception, a foetus thus has a right to life. But justice Njoki Ndung'u ( a reknown judge in the supreme court of Kenya) who has been on the forefront campaigning for abortion in Kenya just like other abortionists from America and Europe now claims that a foetus doesn't have a right to life.
In a bid to cause judicial unrest in the matter, justice Njoki Ndung'u has urged her fellow bench to interpret article 26 to the disadvantage of unborn human beings. The judge has a history of pushing for radical opinions on sexuality issues and was a chief campaigner for abortion during the drafting of the current Kenyan constitution.
We believe Njoki is being used to ignite the abortion debate in Kenya and she should be stopped!
She is misusing her public service position to influence debate on the very right of innocent foetuses. In 2014 the Guttmacher Institute (Research arm of IPPF) paraded exaggerated statics on abortion which sensationally claimed that 4 out of 10 Kenyan women were procuring backstreet abortions.
A counter survey by IPSOS a few weeks later read that 80 percent of Kenyans are opposed to abortion while 98 percent are opposed to homosexuality.
Many attempts have been made to legalize abortion in Kenya and Africa but they always get defeated. This attempt by Njoki Ndung'u should also be defeated!
