Oppose president Biden's plan to revoke the Mexico City Policy

The Biden administration has announced that it will revoke the Mexico City Policy. In prepared remarks released by the White House, Dr. Anthony Fauci has told the World Health Organization's executive board that Biden will soon revoke the Mexico City Policy "as part of his broader commitment to protect women's health and advance gender equality at home and around the world."
The Mexico City Policy is a policy that prohibits U.S. government global health funding from being used to fund foreign nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that perform or promote abortion. The policy also blocks foreign organizations that receive global health grants from providing any type of financial assistance to other foreign NGOs that perform or promote abortion.
In 2017, the Trump administration renamed the Mexico City Policy the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance Policy (PLGHA).
The "Mexico City Policy" is the most significant policy initiative on abortion taken by the United States in the area of foreign assistance in the last twenty years. To state it clearly: the Mexico City Policy simply requires non-governmental organizations receiving U.S. aid to refrain from performing or promoting abortion as a method of family planning in developing nations.
The Policy ensures that NGOs will not themselves force their abortion ideology on countries without permissive abortion laws in the name of the United States as U.S. grantees.
This comes as a reprieve to pro-aborts who have camped in Africa to push for the legalization of abortion. These pro-aborts have pushed for the scrapping of this policy which had cut down their funding on abortion tremendously thus nicknaming it as the "global gag rule"
Less than two hours after the Biden/Harris win was announced, abortion advocates were rushing onto social media to celebrate the end of the Global Gag Rule (GGR), their derogatory naming of the Mexico City Policy, reporting that Biden had promised to remove this policy on his first day in office. International abortion organisations posted many articles suggesting that millions of women worldwide had been harmed by the Trump administration’s support for this anti-abortion legislation.
Of the 54 countries in Africa, only South Africa has laws permitting abortion on demand, the rest of the countries have maintained very pro-life laws which has given the pro-aborts mainly from the United States and developed world a lot of headaches.
Africa has been a target of activism orchestrated by pro-abortion groups whose main aim is to make abortion legal in the entire African continent. If the Biden Administration revokes the Mexico City Policy we will see increased activism from these cultural imperialists as they will be more empowered with the United States of America's taxpayer's funding.
It is ludicrous how the Biden-Harris administration has gotten its priorities thwarted in their first days in office. We experienced a lot of exportation of anti-life and anti-family colonialism when President Obama was in the helm, it seems this will be the same with the current American administration or even worse.
Africa would benefit a lot from well-meant aid that is meant to improve our roads, hospitals, education, clean water, clothing, electricity or even improving the agricultural sector which is the main source of income for Africans.
Sign this petition to ask President Joe Biden not to revoke the Mexico City Policy as this will mean more harm for Africa.
