I pledge my freedom
No to mandatory vaccination
No to mandatory vaccination
Mandatory vaccination violates the right to personal autonomy and privacy of personal data
Many countries have launched with enthusiasm worthy of a better cause to compulsory vaccination.
In some countries, the covid passport is required practically for any operation of social life. Some countries like Kenya require you to have a vaccine certificate to access government services.
Of course, we are facing a serious situation that calls for us all to act responsibly: sunbathing and vitamin C that according to experts protects against disease and general protection to avoid contagion.
In addition, whoever wants it -obviously- can get vaccinated. The administration must guarantee that there are vaccines for everyone who needs them.
But that does not mean that it should be mandatory or that not having it disables your social life or incapacitates your ability to access necessary services.
These are the rights at stake:
-
Right to privacy. Especially my health data, especially sensitive.
-
Right to non-discrimination. Discriminating the sick violates human rights; Discriminating against the unvaccinated violates not only human rights but common sense.
-
Right to freedom of movement, freedom of work and freedom of business
Perhaps when the pandemic broke out, some of the decisions were justified by ignorance. In fact, many rulers acknowledged that "they had killed flies with cannon shots" ...
However, after a few months, we already have some information that may be useful:
We know that children do not suffer from the disease in a severe way nor do they spread it
We know that the incidence of covid19 in young people is very low.
We know that the number of infections or at least hospitalizations, ICUs and deaths is at low levels. It seems that we have reached the so-called herd immunity.
We know that childhood vaccination produces more risks than advantages, according to the WHO
Therefore, it does not seem justified that in these circumstances fundamental rights and freedoms are restricted by a relatively small risk with a 'solution' that continues to be an unknown given the need for third and fourth doses and that many of the current hospitalized are vaccinated.
For this reason, I am against mandatory childhood vaccination and against mandatory vaccination and the so-called covid passport.
