The Abu Ubaydah Islamic Centre's request for prayer in public spaces shows disrespect not only for individual Canadians but also a lack of respect for Canadian law as stipulated under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

It is well understood the majority of Islamists prefer to be governed by Sharia/Islamic law but this is Canada and only one law governs this country, Canadian Law.

If Canadian leaders continue to give in to these demands we are sure to be headed for the same troubles being experienced throughout Europe and the UK.

Based on the rising threat of Islam in Canada it would be wise to begin to put limitations on Islamists demands rather than continue to facilitate its acceleration.

As evidenced in the petition the writer proves that there is no limit on what they will continue to demand as they go on to say,  "As a community we already have or could continue to have spaces like these in schools, in colleges, in universities, in hospitals, in malls and even at the airports".

A fair question is... why are Islamists intentionally moving to Western nations and transplanting here what they left there?  Especially considering it is well known that Canadian culture and beliefs are incompatible with Islamic beliefs as clearly stated by a prominent Toronto Imam of Iraqi decent, Mazin AbdulAdhim,  who said, “Islam will never become a part of liberal secularism”

Canada is a country founded on Judeo Christian principles from which our laws and values are formed. It was inherited through our British Commonwealth, embedded in the Magna Carta and further symbolized in our Coat of Arms.  It is the basis of a free and democratic society and is the core to what sets us apart from totalitarian, Marxist, socialist regimes which are well known to oppress women and children and impoverish their own citizens.  Therefore, we have every reason to be concerned and take steps to protect our National Sovereignty.

The consistent demands and overreach of the Islamic community is causing division and animosity as they forcibly impose their religious ideological beliefs on the Canadian public.

The following report provides evidence detailing the deeper concerns over the demands of the Islamic community.  Read Here

Petition to: Mayor John Tory

It has come to my attention the Abu Ubaydah Islamic Centre has requested the City of Toronto create prayer spaces in Subway Stations.

The writer of the petition makes the request stating Muslim's have practiced prayer for 1400 years, 5 times a day, and in which prayer must be performed in a limited time frame.

The Muslim prayer is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and obligatory religious duty to every Muslims who reached the age of puberty.  Muslims who pray 5 times daily, repeat at least 17 times the verse, "The path of those you bestowed favours upon, not those who have incurred [your] wrath and those who have deviated."

Every Muslim who repeats this verse knows it is that those who "deviated" from Allah are Jews and Christians. As for the Jews they believe they are cursed by Allah.

Hardly something Canadians should be encouraging.

There are 57 Muslim majority countries wherein this practise is readily embraced.  Canada is not one of them.

Christians are committed to prayer also but you do not hear of demands being put on public spaces exposing others to one's very private and personal time spent with God.

Canada is a country made up of many different cultures and beliefs. It is important to maintain neutral public spaces to ensure everyone is treated equally under the law.

By approving the request of the Abu Ubaydah Islamic Centre, it would be showing preferential treatment to one group over the majority of citizens. This would be in violation of citizen's rights as stipulated under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

  • Section 15 (1) Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination”.

If this request is granted it will further strike a divide between the residents of Toronto as well as Canadian citizens en masse.

The following report provides evidence detailing the deeper concerns over the demands of the Islamic community.  Read Here

I ask that you deny this request and encourage unity in doing so.
