For nearly 100 years, Disney earned the trust of families. With stories built on wonder, imagination, and innocence, parents welcomed Disney into their homes—because they believed it was made for children.

Now, that trust is being exploited.

Disney+ recently featured a homepage banner promoting Dying for Sex—a sexually explicit miniseries that glorifies BDSM, fetishism, sexual violence, and domination. This kind of content is completely inappropriate for any platform still marketed as family-friendly.

The contrast couldn’t be more disturbing: sexually graphic material promoted alongside beloved children’s titles like Moana and Mickey and Friends.

This wasn’t a mistake. It wasn’t an oversight.

It was deliberate. Approved. Promoted.

And it came just days after Disney made headlines for quietly removing a transgender character from an upcoming Pixar series—replacing them with an openly Christian character. That move gave many families hope that someone at Disney was finally listening.

But now, with Dying for Sex, a very different message has been sent.

Parents don’t subscribe to Disney+ for explicit content. If they wanted that, they’d choose HBO or Netflix.

They chose Disney+ because it was supposed to be different—safe, family-first, and values-based. Now, that trust is being used as a cover to promote something it was never meant to deliver.

When concerned parents spoke out online, they were met with mockery:

“Use parental controls.”“You’re overreacting.”“It’s not a big deal.”

But they’ve missed the point entirely.

This isn’t about filters or settings—it’s about decisions.

Disney is choosing to create, promote, and normalize sexually explicit content under a brand families built.

Parental controls are not the answer—because parents are not the problem.

This content never belonged on Disney+ in the first place.

We are calling on Disney to take immediate, public action:

  • Remove Dying for Sex

  • Remove all sexually explicit content from Disney+

  • Issue a public apology to families

  • Conduct a full audit of Disney+ content and marketing policies

This isn’t a technical glitch. It’s a failure of leadership, judgment, and values.

Disney’s wealth wasn’t built on fetish content.

It came from fairy tales, animated films, princess dresses, and theme park passes.

It came from parents who believed Disney was safe. That it stood for something good.

Now, Disney’s leadership is abandoning that legacy—replacing innocence with ideology. Replacing childhood wonder with content no child should ever see.

If Disney wants to produce adult entertainment, it should be on a separate platform with clear boundaries—not hidden within the same space trusted by millions of families.

The Disney name has become a Trojan horse—rolling into living rooms promising nostalgia and delivering poison.

It’s time to speak clearly:

  • Remove the explicit content.

  • Reclaim the platform.

  • Restore the trust.

Add your name now and demand that Disney’s leadership take action. Families built Disney. Now it’s up to us to hold them accountable.

Bob Iger: Keep Explicit Content Off Disney+!

Dear Bob Iger, Disney Board, Dana Walden, and Rita Ferro,

For nearly a hundred years, Disney stood for something—something families could depend on. But now, you're using that legacy to promote content that has no place under the Disney name.

Dying for Sex—a show featuring BDSM, urination fetishes, sexual violence, and domination—was promoted on the homepage of Disney+. Graphic sexual content has no place on a platform built for families.

This isn’t about filters or parental oversight. It’s about the choices Disney is making—the content you are choosing to create, promote, and normalize under a brand that was once trusted by generations.

We are demanding action:

Remove Dying for Sex from Disney+

Remove all explicit content from Disney+

Apologize publicly to families

Conduct a full audit of Disney+ marketing and content policies

Generations of parents built the Disney empire—through trust, loyalty, and the belief that this brand would provide wholesome family entertainment. You have a responsibility to protect that investment and uphold the standards families have always expected.

We will not tolerate the betrayal of that trust. We expect better, and our trust will no longer be exploited.

Signed,
