FF and FG: Stop free and easy access to taxpayer-funded Morning After Pill
FF and FG: Stop free and easy access to taxpayer-funded Morning After Pill
The Irish State is facilitating free and easy-access to the Morning After Pill (MAP) and lying to women and girls about how these potentially abortifacient poisons work.*
And, a new report shows that the number of Irish women and girls using these powerful and harmful drugs has skyrocketed since the Government introduced programmes providing them freely - without prescription.
For the sake of each woman and girl who are being deceived into thinking that the Morning After Pill is "just" acting as a contraceptive, when it is really acting as an abortifacient, and for the sake of each nascent human life lost to this ignorance, CitizenGO is launching this petition.
Please SIGN and SHARE this urgent petition telling Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael to STOP the free and easy "emergency contraceptive" schemes now.**
The Irish Independent just published a shocking article (see link below) revealing how €15.5 million of taxpayer funding has been spent by the Irish Government over the last three years on nearly 180,000 doses of the potentially abortifacient Morning After Pill (MAP) and other similar drugs/devices.
And, tragically, the report also shows HUGE year-on-year increases in the number of times women availed of these harmful drugs and devices.
According to the statistics, there was an approximate increase of 88% in the number of doses/devices given out between 2020 and 2021, and another massive increase of 33% in the number of doses/devices given between 2021 and 2022.
While that is not surprising, what is surprising is that it has been Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael politicians who have forced the Irish taxpayer to fund these poisons as so-called "healthcare" in the name of freedom.
Please SIGN and SHARE this petition telling the Government to stop supplying and promoting the Morning After Pill to the women and girls of Ireland.
At the same time, tell them to stop lying to themselves and women about how the MAP works only like a contraceptive by delaying ovulation, when, in many instances, it actually works as an abortifacient.
Please click here for scientifically accurate information on how so-called "emergency contraceptives" like Ulipristal acetate (marketed as Ella® and ellaOne) and levonorgestrel EC or LNG-EC (marketed as Prevenelle®, Norlevo®, Plan B®, or Plan B One-Step®), and the copper IUD (marketed as ParaGard®) actually may act to interfere with the implantation of the human embryo, thus cause it to die, or, indeed, how some of these drugs may act to prevent already-established (implanted) pregnancies.
While we now know that the Morning After Pill may act as an abortifacient, potentially killing the human embryo, the Morning After Pill also has consequences for individual women and for society, even though these drugs are being promoted by the Government as a means to achieving equality between the sexes.
Of course, nothing could be further from the truth!
Please SIGN and SHARE this petition, today!
The truth is that free and easy access to Morning After Pill leads to slavery, not freedom.
Sexual licence cannot be equated with freedom. Indeed, if sexual licence, these days, requires that both individuals and general society deceive themselves about potentially killing another human being, that is exactly the opposite of freedom. It is, instead, slavery to an ideology of selfishness and irresponsibility.
Is that what the Irish Government should be promoting at taxpayer expense? Not at all.
In the era of 'Abortion Ireland', it may sound prudish to say so, but the Morning After Pill and, its related sibling, the Abortion Pill, are simply ways for men, women, boys and girls to temporarily avoid the consequences for sexual irresponsibility.
As a result, society and the individuals involved suffer with regret, with increased numbers of STDs, with distrust amongst men and women of childbearing age, and, crucially, with a decline in the birthrate necessary to sustain the life of country.
And, that is exactly why Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael should STOP the free and easy "emergency contraceptive" schemes now.
Thank you for SIGNING this urgent petition. Once you've signed, please consider SHARING with your like-minded pro-life family, friends, fellow church-goers and colleagues.

*The following link is from the well-respected Mayo Clinic (USA). It describes the drug, Levonorgestrel, which is marketed in Ireland as Prevenelle®, Norlevo®, and which the Irish Government website above calls the 'Three Day Pill'. Note in the last sentence of first paragraph in the 'Description' section, the Mayo Clinic acknowledges that: "It (Levonorgestrel) may also prevent the attachment of the woman's egg to the wall of the uterus (womb)." When the Irish Government website omits telling women and girls that Levonorgestrel may also prevent the attachment of the human embryo to the lining of the uterus, they are, in effect, lying to them about how this drug may work to cause an early abortion. https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/levonorgestrel-oral-route/description/drg-20074413
*This excellent analysis from the Charlotte Lozier Institute (USA) provides scientifically accurate information about how "emergency contraception" actually does (in the case of the IUD) and can function (in the case of the MAP, including not just Levonorgestrel, but also Ulipristal acetate, also marketed as Ella® and ellaOne, and called the 'Five Day Pill' on the Irish Government website above) as abortifacients. As with Levonorgestrel, the Irish Government omits telling women and girls that Ulipristal acetate may also prevent the attachment of the human embryo to the lining of the uterus, in effect, causing an early abortion. The drug-maker says so in their label (see the second link here, and look at Section 12.1 on page 5) https://lozierinstitute.org/emergencycontraceptives/

**This petition exclusively opposes the free and easy access to so-called "emergency contraception", that is, abortifacients masquerading as contraceptives. But, logic dictates that the use of any contraceptive, to avoid pregnancy (not a disease), especially when told by authority figures that doing so is "responsible", will, at minimum, open the door to the use of stronger measures (like, the Morning After Pill, and abortion, itself) when that contraception fails. NB: There is no such thing as "safe(r) sex", and to say so is irresponsible.
