Pray for Peace in Ukraine!
Tension on the Ukrainian/Russian border has been mounting for weeks.
Now, early Thursday morning, in Ukraine, Russian soldiers invaded the sovereign nation of Ukraine. Russian forces advance from three fronts: the south (through Crimea, which was seized by Russia in 2014), the east, and the north.
Shortly after that, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine.
After the first day of fighting, 137 people were killed and 316 injured.
Within just two days, Russian forces are closing in on Kyiv (the Capital of Ukraine). For the first time ever, NATO is calling up a strike team to bolster defenses around NATO countries. Additional American soldiers will be based in Poland, Germany, and Romania.
Meanwhile, 50,000 Ukrainian have fled their homeland, looking for safety.
In Matthew 18:20, the Bible teaches us that God is with us when we gather in prayer in numbers. CitizenGO urges its over 17 million members to gather in prayer for peace in Ukraine.
