Petition To: FARIS AL-RAWI, MP AND ATTORNEY GENERAL OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO - Please Appeal the Trinidad Court Decision, Affirm Equality & Human Rights for All NOT Special Rights for "Sexual Orientation"

Before she took office, Paula-Mae Weekes, the first female president of Trinidad and Tobago, said in an interview that she believes there should be full equality based on the social experiment of “sexual-orientation” – thus affording homosexuality special elite status compared with human rights for people of all races and religions.

In early April, Justice Devindra Rampersad overturned certain sections of the nation’s laws concerning non-normative sexual behavior. Trinidad’s Attorney General, Faris Al Rawi, announced his decision to appeal the ruling.

The judgement is the opening move in an all-out assault on natural family values in Trinidad. In the United States and other Western nations, we’ve seen a progression from normalizing same-sex relations to anti-discrimination laws based on (so-called) "sexual orientation,"  to same-sex “marriage,” to the persecution of Christians and others of faith who refuse to go along with the new moral order based on the new "superior" virtues of equality, tolerance, and diversity.

If allowed to stand, this court ruling will continue the radical re-ordering of the social virtues of beauty, truth, and goodness.

This coordinated attack by sexual radicals on Trinidad and Tobago is just the first step in the Sexual Revolution's progression to a secular and deviant society providing special rights to elites and sexual radicals at the expense of a thriving and prosperous civil society celebrating life and the natural family.

Petition to: THE HONOURABLE FARIS AL-RAWI - MP AND ATTORNEY GENERAL OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

PETITION TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, CONCERNING EQUALITY BASED ON “SEXUAL ORIENTATION”

Dear Attorney General:

We note the Judgement of the Honorable Justice Devindra Rampersad dated the 12th day of April 2018 which ordered inter alia that “Sections 13 and 16 were unconstitutional, illegal, null, void, invalid and are of no effect to the extent that these laws criminalize any acts constituting consensual sexual conduct between adults.”

We call on your office to focus on the real issues confronting Trinidad and Tobago, and not on spurious calls for equality based on a social construct termed “sexual orientation.”

Once homosexuals become a protected class based on non-immutable characteristics like "sexual orientation," demands for equality will start with anti-discrimination laws (including forced association), removal of parental rights, promotion of gender neutrality and sexualization of children, same-sex “marriage” and end with the persecution of Christians and other people of Faith who dissent from the agenda of sexual radicals.

Throughout the Western world, there are laws that ban discrimination based on race. If sexual orientation is comparable to race (an immutable characteristic), then similar protection is called for. Among other things, such laws will be used by radicals to punish merchants who refuse to participate in same-sex ceremonies.

If there is to be “absolute equality across the board in terms of State obligations,” that would require gay marriage. If heterosexuals can marry, then homosexuals must also be allowed to marry. Eventually, the same reasoning will be used to justify polygamy and the abolition of age-of-consent laws.

This isn’t idle speculation. In the United States, there’s been an inevitable progression from anti-discrimination laws to civil unions, to same-sex “marriage,” to persecuting Christians and others of Faith who dissent.

Acceptance of the agenda of sexual radicals will eventually lead to the deconstruction of marriage and the family, turning both into free-form institutions.

Mr Attorney General, we urge you to follow through on your decision to appeal this decision of the Court, and to uphold and declare the family as the natural, sustainable, fundamental and indispensable unit of society and, as such, entitled to protection by society and the State, as set forth in Article 16 of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
