EU Commission: STOP funding Int'l Planned Parenthood Federation

Late last September, a group of MEPs contacted the EU Commission to ask how much money the Commission has given to the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) over a ten-year period.

In light of the fact that one of the IPPF's member associations, Planned Parenthood Federation of America (or, better known, simply as "Planned Parenthood") now stands accused of selling foetal body-parts (after a series of Youtube videos show PPFA executives callously discussing the procurement and sale of foetal parts), the MEPs wanted to know precisely how much the Commission had allocated to the IPPF in grant funding.

Finally, in February of this year, Commissioner Neven Mimica replied to the MEPs' questions, revealing that the Commission had given a massive €20 Million to IPPF between 2005 and 2015.

This petition tells the EU Commission that, since abortion is not an EU competence, then it (the Commission) should NOT be giving any monies to organisations like the International Planned Parenthood Federation.

Commissioner Mimica made the following admission in his reply to the MEPs' questions:

"Abortion policies are the competence of partner countries benefitting from EU development cooperation funding, as agreed in the Programme of Action of the International Conference of Population and Development (Actions article 8.25). The EU's work aims at assisting the achievement of the development objectives agreed at the major UN conferences. The Commission does not discriminate against entities providing abortion services as long as they are provided according to national law."

But, this kind of twisting of principles discredits and taints the type of "transparency" which the Commission claims to defend.

On the one hand, the Commission is saying that abortion is the competence of partner countries. BUT, on the other hand, the Commission is saying that it will actively support abortion services as long as they are legal in the nations in receipt of development cooperation funding, and as long as some UN conferences demand it.

By saying this, the EU Commission is clearly talking out of both sides of its mouth!

And, moreover, in the process, the Commission is showing that it is willing to break its own principles to push the abortion agenda.

Indeed, it is bizarre to think that it is not European voters who decide on EU policy, but, rather, UN conferences!

This is not democratic at all!

The bottomline is that, in the interest of neutrality (and, of course, life), European tax-payers simply shouldn't have to pay for abortions, the ancillary services related to abortion, or any promotion of abortion. Neither should the EU tax-payer have to pay for the pro-abortion, pro-sexual anarchy propaganda which the IPPF promotes.[1]

And, European parents shouldn't have to pay for, or have to tacitly support, the lack of respect which IPPF has for their rights as parents.[1]

That's why this petition demands that the EU Commission STOP funding the IPPF, with immediate effect.

Please sign and share this petition, telling the EU Commissioners to get their priorities straight!

Thank you!

Defund Int'l Planned Parenthood Immediately

FOR the Attention of EU Commission President, M Jean-Claude Juncker:

Recently, Commissioner Neven Mimica replied to several MEPs' questions, revealing that the Commission had given a massive €20 Million to IPPF between 2005 and 2015.

Also, he made the following admission in his reply:

"Abortion policies are the competence of partner countries benefitting from EU development cooperation funding, as agreed in the Programme of Action of the International Conference of Population and Development (Actions article 8.25). The EU's work aims at assisting the achievement of the development objectives agreed at the major UN conferences. The Commission does not discriminate against entities providing abortion services as long as they are provided according to national law."

On the one hand, the Commission is saying that abortion is the competence of partner countries. BUT, on the other hand, the Commission is saying that it will actively support abortion services as long as they are legal in the nations in receipt of development cooperation funding, and as long as some UN conferences demand it.

Of course, this kind of twisting of principles discredits and taints the type of "transparency" which the Commission claims to defend.

And, indeed, it is utterly bizarre to think that it is not European voters who decide on EU policy, but, rather, UN conferences!

By saying this, the EU Commission is clearly talking out of both sides of its mouth!

And, moreover, in the process, the Commission is showing that it is willing to break their own principles to push an abortion agenda.

This is not democratic at all!

The bottomline is that, in the interest of neutrality (and, of course, life), European tax-payers simply shouldn't have to pay for abortions, the ancillary services related to abortion, or any promotion of abortion. Neither should the EU tax-payer have to pay for the pro-abortion, pro-sexual anarchy propaganda which the IPPF promotes.

Therefore...whereas, abortion is NOT a competence of the EU Commission, but one that resides with the member and partner countries,

And, whereas, in the interest of neutrality (and, life), neither the EU voter nor tax-payer should be forced to pay for abortion or the promotion of abortion,

And, also, whereas International Planned Parenthood Federation is an organisation known to facilitate and promote abortion,

We, the undersigned, call on the EU Commission to cease funding the International Planned Parenthood Federation with immediate effect.
