Support the culture of motherhood in Arizona
As a nation, we should be working together to support mothers and celebrate children. Motherhood should be seen as a life advancement, not a career setback.
Fortunately, Arizona Republican Governor Doug Ducey is working to make his state more welcoming and supportive of mothers. He recently announced that he plans to expand his “Infants at Work Program.” This program would allow working moms in some state agencies to bring their babies to work with them from four weeks to six months.
Please join us in thanking Governor Ducey for working to support mothers!
Children are a gift from the Lord, and mothers who work shouldn’t be forced to compromise their child’s physical and emotional development. Studies have shown that a child’s constant contact to his mother during early development is critical to his physical and emotional wellbeing.
This program was first piloted in 2016 in the Arizona Department of Public Health and Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System. Now, in 2017 the program will include the Arizona Department of Economic Security and Arizona Department of Water Resources.
Governor Ducey has said of the program, “It’s a win-win-win: Increased productivity, quality employees less likely to leave state service, and, most important, happy babies.”
Governor Ducey is a strong pro-life, pro-children advocate who is working to defund Planned Parenthood in Arizona. Through this program, he is demonstrating that he is holistically pro-life and pro-woman. Let’s thank him for being such a great model for pro-abundant life politicians everywhere!
