The Obama administration is promoting the sexual revolution around the developing world, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean.

United States embassies must now hoist the rainbow flag, even in countries where doing so violates local values and traditions. Official U.S. envoys have participated in "Pride" marches, even when it disrespects the foreign soil where they have been sent as diplomats.

Just recently, the U.S. ambassador to Mexico, Roberta Jacobson, marched in the "gay pride" parade with a banner that read: "The EU delegation supports diversity." She told local news media:

"It is the policy of my country, and President Obama in particular, to support LGBTI communities. And it is part of our diplomacy now."

The U.S. Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela, joined in too, announcing on their website:

"We, the U.S. Embassy community, are committed to advancing human rights for all, including LGBT individuals."

By this, they do not just mean the human rights that all of us share as members of the human family (such as the right to life). No, they mean "gay marriage" and special rights which violate the consciences of religious believers. The U.S. embassy in Caracas waved the rainbow flag above its building.

The unwanted activity of the special ambassador for LGBTI affairs, Randy Berry, has been especially overwhelming. He has created unacceptable interference on the issue of "gay marriage," especially in the Dominican Republic. In the last year, he has traveled to 42 countries to promote normalization of homosexual practices.

And not satisfied with Randy Berry, the U.S. is working with the United Nations to create a global figure fulfilling a similar purpose: a Special Rapporteur on LGBT.

But instead of promoting themselves, the United States is trying to strongarm Latin America and the rest of the developing world to promote it. Does the U.S. think the developing world are mere lackeys for their empire?

"The United States is pleased to work with other countries in different regions to support this resolution."

The threat (as always) is that the U.S. will freeze development aid or impose a trade embargo on countries who do not comply.

As if that were not enough, CitizenGO has been informed that Deputy Secretary of State, Anthony J. Blinden, pressured several countries to support the U.N. resolution on sexual orientation and gender identity over the phone. And on top of that, the U.S. Ambassador to the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Keith Harper, visited the various national delegations to manipulate them into supporting the resolution.

For shame!

Enough of ideological colonialism in developing countries. Enough of sending ambassadors whose only qualification is their homosexuality.

It's time to say: Obama, leave us alone!

Let's get to 50,000

Stop forcing the sexual revolution on us!

TO: Secretary of State John Kerry

CC:

  • Special Ambassador for LGBTI, Randy Berry

  • Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Mari Carmen Aponte

  • U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Human Rights Council, Keith Harper

I am writing because I am concerned about the latest effects of United States foreign policy. The appointment of a special ambassador on LGBT issues turns diplomats into culture-war activists.

U.S. embassies have actively participated in "gay pride" marches in foreign countries, openly breaking with the neutrality that should be maintained regarding controversial issues on foreign soil.

Please, respect our sovereignty. Respect our laws, our values, our history, our culture, and our traditions.

Abandon the temptation to promote your ideological agenda by pressuring our governments. It's unacceptable to threaten economic sanctions or to threaten cutting development aid.

Stop interfering in our domestic and national debates where you have no right to speak.

In short, STOP using ideological colonization to promote the sexual revolution in our nations!
