Zaustavite rušenje vjerskih sloboda u UN-u
Specijalni izvjestitelj Ujedinjenih naroda napisao je izvješće UN-a koje proziva tradicionalna vjerska uvjerenja i vrijednosti vezane uz život, brak i postojanje biološkog spola.
U svom izvješću Specijalni izvjestitelj za religijsku i vjersku slobodu, g. Ahmed Shaheed, odlučio se pridružiti kontroverznim ideologijama koje stoje iza pobačaja i LGBTIQ zahtjeva te je optužio sve pripadnike religija i vjerske institucije za diskriminaciju!
Izvješće ide tako daleko da traži veću ulogu država u doktrinalnim vjerskim pitanjima ako vjerska institucija ima “štetne rodno diskriminirajuće norme”. Ide tako daleko da kritizira vjerska uvjerenja roditelja (konkretno se osvrće na događaje u Africi) koji se protive da se njihovoj djeci u školama uvedu knjige koje promoviraju homoseksualnost.
U vremenu kada 80% vjernika u svijetu trpi teška ograničenja slobode vjeroispovijesti, UN je odlučio dati mandat zaštitnika njihovih prava čovjeku koji radi na njihovom daljnjem potpunom uništenju.

Zabrinut/a sam zbog izvješća koje je Vijeću za ljudska prava podnio g. Ahmed Shaheed, specijalni izvjestitelj za religijsku i vjersku slobodu, u veljači 2020.
Mandat gospodina Shaheeda je promicanje prava na slobodu vjeroispovijesti i uvjerenja, temeljno pravo priznato Univerzalnom deklaracijom o ljudskim pravima Ujedinjenih naroda, članak 18:
“Svatko ima pravo na slobodu mišljenja, savjesti i vjeroispovijedi; to pravo uključuje slobodu promjene vjeroispovijedi ili uvjerenja i slobodu da pojedinačno ili u zajednici s drugima, javno ili privatno, iskazuje svoju vjeroispovijed ili uvjerenje bogoslužjem, poučavanjem, praktičnim vršenjem i obredima.”
Umjesto da se usredotoči na međunarodno priznata kršenja vjerskih sloboda, specijalni izvjestitelj odlučio je promovirati kontroverzne ciljeve politika UN-ovih odbora za ljudska prava u vezi s pobačajem, seksualnom orijentacijom i rodnim identitetom.
Specijalni izvjestitelj optužuje vjernike za diskriminaciju ako se usprotive: pobačaju, redefiniranju braka i uklanjanju biološki nepromjenjivih razlika u spolu i u njemu utemeljenu različitost između muškaraca i žena. To čini putem izvrnute interpretacije roda i rodne jednakosti.
Teško mi je shvatiti da osoba koja ima zadatak zaštititi moju vjersku slobodu - da ju je zapravo potkopala.
Zato zahtjevam opoziv gospodina Ahmeda Shaheeda kao posebnog izvjestitelja za religijsku i vjersku slobodu: njegova agenda nije u skladu s vjerskom slobodom.

I am concerned about the February 2020 report submitted to the Human Rights Council by Mr. Ahmed Shaheed, Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief.
Mr. Shaheed’s mandate is to promote the right to freedom of religion or belief, a fundamental right recognized in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 18:
"Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion…to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance."
Rather than focus on internationally recognized violations of religious freedom, the Special Rapporteur has chosen to promote the controversial policy goals of UN human rights committees regarding abortion as well as sexual orientation and gender identity.
The Special Rapporteur accuses people of faith of discrimination if they oppose: abortion, the redefinition of marriage, and the dismantling of biologically immutable sex and diversity between man and women that are founded in that reality. He does this through a tortured interpretation of gender and gender equality.
It is difficult to reconcile that a person tasked with protecting religious freedom would actually be actively undermining it.
I demand therefore, the immediate termination of mandate of Mr. Ahmed Shaheed as Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief: his agenda is incompatible with religious freedom.
