With inflation destroying family budgets, hundreds of thousands are fearful that they are unable to manage the soaring energy costs -- that we just can’t afford.

The high prices of energy and gasoline have critical effects on cost-of-living increases in our daily lives... Inflation is hitting families hard, especially low-income and elderly Canadians.

People are getting ridiculously high new energy bills, and many businesses are in danger of closing.

The whole world is in crisis. Canada is in crisis. We must take action before it’s too late!

We can't expect the government to solve all of Canada's problems for us but what we can expect from our politicians is that they stop making money on energy taxes on top of the already sky-high energy prices.

Families are taxed enough. Therefore, we now call for the next, much-needed crisis measure: temporarily suspend ALL taxes that currently make already ridiculously high energy bills even higher.

In Canada, Justin Trudeau has done everything in his power to cripple Canada's energy sector. Trudeau blocked the Northern Gateway Pipeline and failed to stand up for the Keystone XL Pipeline when it was cancelled by President Biden. Trudeau's government has continuously hiked the carbon tax on gasoline for no other reason than punishing Canadians who won't buy into his green agenda. And Trudeau's incessant printing of money has caused inflation to skyrocket into dangerous territories.

Restaurants and small business owners are just some who are at risk from the severe problems of rising energy prices, resulting not only from the war in Ukraine but also from longstanding policies of our government and LEFTIST governments worldwide.

Sky-high bills, rising grocery costs, increasing rents, and unreasonable gas costs are all adding up to an impossible situation for many of us. We are amidst a wildly slippery slope of high energy taxes, inflation, and general impoverishment with dramatic consequences for our future if we don’t say ENOUGH!
The situation is unsustainable.

Therefore, if only as a sign of solidarity, it would be appropriate for the government to stop levying taxes on energy for the duration of this crisis.

Now is the time to act.

From CitizenGO, we will do whatever it takes to protect the citizens and demand that our elected representatives do their jobs without delay—from demanding the immediate suspension of the energy taxes to flooding their offices with phone calls and organizing massive concentrations and deliveries of signatures around the world.
