Australia is becoming increasingly secular, religion still plays a vital role in the way we run our country but the secularists have infiltrated our media resulting in left-wing ideology, woke-ism, and the trend toward insulting and offending Christians with the  ‘C-bomb’ and ‘F-bomb’ now featuring in movies, TV shows and even in politics which must be opposed before it becomes common parlance in the education of our children.

The use of profanity in films has often been controversial but has increased significantly in recent years with the C-word and the F-word skyrocketing in films. The use of the F-word in film draws particular criticism and in 2005, the Netflix documentary (our apology) ‘Fuck’ dealt entirely with this phenomenon. The F-word, and now the C-word, is thought to be the most vulgar term used in American and British films.

Swearing doesn’t just influence our physical and mental selves – it also affects our relationships with others and so swearing must lose its power otherwise it becomes more socially acceptable and more offensive.  Even politicians dropping the f-bomb tend to be seen as acting out of emotion, but the way they use taboo language is often about what they can accomplish by violating rules.

The word C-word has made its way into popular discourse which is both offensive and utterly vulgar so why do we also have to listen to it on Netflix? Children are avid viewers of Netflix making them captive to the F-word and C-word. Swearing will NOT make them model citizens.

Swearing has become gratuitous. Once in a while we all let off steam with a well-placed “damnit” or two when running against a door or crushing our fingers in a drawer. But there is now an upward trend in vulgar swearing - on TV, Netflix movies and in all forms of entertainment.

This must stop.

Let’s send a message to Netflix to stop buying and commissioning films with the F-word and the C-word and allow families to watch and listen without the indignity of having to hear such words in front of our families.

STOP using the 'F-word' and 'C-Word' in Movies Netflix

A Petition to Netflix Australia

Dear Netflix

There are piles of evidence to show that the ‘C-word and ‘F-word’ is now featured more and more in movies and TV shows on the Netflix platform which has a high viewer following amongst young children, teenagers and families.

The use of the ‘C-word’ and ‘F-word’ add absolutely no value to the dialogue and in point of fact they have become gratuitous and offensive to families with young children.

The use of profanity should be relegated to private conversations rather than the living rooms of families. With the significant increase in recent years of the C-word and the F-word skyrocketing films, the average mum and dad with a young family want a commitment from Netflix to STOP making, buying and commissioning films that feature the C-word and the F-word rather than the movie plot.
